Principal's Message [12]

Principal's Message [12]
Dear Parents Families,

Habit #7, Sharpen the Saw, is usually everyone’s favorite habit. When we Sharpen the Saw we are rejuvenating ourselves. We are renewing ourselves so that we can be stronger in our relationships, continue to improve ourselves and maintain the amount of work and play at peak performance.

When we sharpen the saw we must renew our body, heart, mind and soul.

Things we can do to renew the body:
· Exercise
· Nutrition
· Rest
· Stress management

Things we can do to renew the heart:
· Build relationships
· Forgive others for past hurts
· Let go of unhealthy competitive feelings that you have toward others
· Widen the circle of friends

Things we can do to renew the mind:
· Read
· Write
· Learn
· Study

Things we can do to renew the soul:
· Meditate
· Yoga
· Service projects
· Practice your faith

Children’s books that you can read and discuss sharpening the saw with your student:
· The Snowy Day, by Ezra Jack Keats
·  Have Fun, Molly Lou Melon, by Patty Lovell

Sincerely,

Miss Kathryn Klei,  Principal
